Finishing up some November layouts from the ScrapRoom

This layout is made using the Little Yellow Bicycle kit from the November ScrapRoom flavor of the month kits. I thought it was perfect to pull the pinks out of the pictures. I made the big red flower using my Slice - I love that machine!! I also made the journaling block and shadow using the Slice.

This next layout is made with the Crate Paper Farmhouse line - I love this line! The flip side of that brown ruler paper was a red checkerboard that I originally planned to use, but when I flipped it over, it seemed to fit my picture and theme more so. I love the way it turned out!
The sketch is from Allison Davis’ sketchbook for One-Page layouts (found here).

Fall in the Park

Layout inspired by the sketch of the month from the ScrapRoom using the Basic Grey kit this month. I’m not exactly loving the way it turned out - the green and  blue just aren’t my favorite in the title. I don’t think the layout does the picture justice…

**Edited to  upload new and improved layout:

Twinkle Toes

I fell in love with the colors of the Jillibean Sweet and Sour Soup line and knew the pictures of Zoe and her Twinkle Toes would go perfectly. Then, when I saw Allison Davis’ November layout of the month, I just KNEW I had to create a layout just like hers! Same manufacturer, just a different line.

I did some hand-stitching on the flower stems and pop-dotted pieces of the flowers. I’m pleased with the layout!

Scrapbook Generation Sketch Class - 1st Grade

2011-11-13 003
Finally finished a sketch class layout from back in September! This is from Scrapbook Generations monthly sketch class from Debbie Sanders. Click here for details.

I made a few adjustments to the sketch, instead of 2 3x3 pictures on the right, I used a vertical 4x6 and snipped it down to 3x6.

This layout documents Zoe’s first day of school this year. I let her write the “About Me” information in pencil and then I traced over with my brown Micron pen (my favorite journaling pen).

And yes, those are her fingers holding the layout in place. It was really windy outside this morning!
