June Studio Calico Sneak Peaks

I decided I needed to see the June Studio Calico sneaks all on one page - so I threw them onto a Photoshop document.

New Scrap-Island

I don't think I've shared this on the blog yet. Last month, I had enough of moving my creating space to the kitchen table and back again every weekend. I wanted to have a project in process and be able to leave it out during the week... without the fear of a certain little girl spilling her milk or juice or water all over the table and my project.

I found this lovely gem of a work island that fits perfectly in the kitchen/dining area that I share as my scrap space. My desk is off to the right and I have most of my supplies on this island or in the top 2 drawers to the left of me, also using the counter for my favorite alpha's and sticker sheets and the current Studio Calico kit.

This picture was taken just after I got it and had everything loaded on the cart. It looks just a bit different now that I've been using it for the past month. Someday soon I'll get full pictures of my shared space and give a little tour. I don't think I've done that since moving back to Missouri and losing my loft space.

Thanks for looking! Have a scrappy weekend!

Studio Calico April kit, “Singing in the Rain”

Here’s my wall o’ layouts made using the April kit from Studio Calico. I’ve decided that this is a good meter to use for myself when creating with one of the SC kits. I created 2 other layouts this past month, but they weren’t using the most recent SC kit, so I didn’t display them here - they are else where in my scrappy area.

April wall

The final product is a good mix of photos, I think. As I slowly dig through my 2010 picture pile, I’m also able to do several from 2011. I did fall behind in the month in review challenge and haven’t created one since January. Darn. On this wall, there are (2) two-page layouts and (6) one-page layouts. Two of those layouts include pictures from 2010, and the rest were from March 2011. I almost want to add 3 more page protectors to this wall to make more room and push myself a little more each month. If only that door stopper wasn’t there!

Thanks for looking! I’m off to put the April kit in it’s proper place to make room for the new May Studio Calico “Lawn Party” kit that arrived today! YIPPEE!!

Spending Time with Lanfear

With this layout, I’ve officially filled up my wall of layouts for the month of April. I still have plenty of product left over and I’m sure I’ll make future layouts with this kit, but for now, it’s time to put it away.

This layout was inspired by a Sassy Lil’ Sketches from March. I loved how they had the four different blocks of pattern paper in the background. I chose to use my postage stamp punch on the outside edges and then ink them (of course, I never leave an edge un-inked, I don’t think).

I used the April Studio Calico Kit - Singing in the Rain. Also, I used the month stamp from Studio Calico. The stickers are from Crate Paper, Emma’s Shoppe (except for the AC Thickers used in “Lanfear”) - I really love that product line!

Thanks for looking!

Friday Nights - Sketch Support

I created this layout from a sketch at Sketch Support. I used the April Studio Calico kit, Singing in the Rain, plus some teal zing! I used glue and zing on the Maya Chipboard shapes, turned out pretty funky and bubbly.

Enjoy the Scenery - Sassy Lil’ Sketches

I’ve had these pictures on their mats for a few months now. Danielle challenged me to bring them over and make my layout during our last Friday night scrap night. I knew once I saw this sketch at Sassy Lil’ Sketches, I could finally complete the layout. I love the end result! These were a few of my favorite photos from our Missouri trip last October.
