I'm a little behind, but hopefully will complete the assignments over the holidays. Here's another couple layouts I finished over the past day.

The Present

The following information on The Present is taken from Cathy Zielske's Blog:

Stacy Julian, scrapbook visionary and inspiring little phenom that she is, is staging a cool blog blitz today, and baby, I'm in! Want to hear about it?

Well okay then... long story short: Stacy wants people to use scrapbooking as a way to live more fully in the present; in your life; in the moment of all this amazing stuff that makes up our existence.

Stacy believes that we scrapbookers spend a lot of time creating from stuff that has already happened, that sometimes, we forget to be here in the now. So she's got a fun challenge to share and I'm more than happy to both participate, and pass it on to you:

The Challenge

1. Take 10 photos of your life right now... today... no ands, ifs or buts. Grab that camera and document. All day today.

2. Compile these photos into a tiny little mini album.

3. Keep or carry this album with you (in a desk drawer, where you scrapbook or in your purse) for one year.

4. Promise to glance at it every time you stumble upon it or pull it from your purse.

5. On October 1, 2009, you will make a scrapbook page about this experience, but I can't tell you exactly what that page will be about. You'll have to check back with Stacy in one year for the final piece of the puzzle.

Here is mine, finally completed at the end of October.

Week Three - Sketch 2 {Shy Dino}

Picture quality isn't really great, but I wanted to get the story documented. I'm really unsure about the repetition, too - I may have to retry this sketch over the weekend.

Design Your Life

I'm taking an online class with Cathy Zielske at Big Picture Scrapbooking. I'm very excited to be spending 12 weeks with my favorite graphic designer. I've loved her books and follow her simple approach to scrapbooking.

28 Months

The light purple painted numbers aren't scanning as pretty as what they actually are. On the cardstock, the paint actually matches the background light purple.
After more than a year, I've gotten out the Sizzix again - I really like how "months" turned out for this layout.

Layouts for August 2007

Sampling of my latest layouts - pretty simple, but I can get one done in about 30 minutes, using journaling from Zoe's blog.

Ever-Evolving Scrap Space

Small corner of the master bedroom is mine - this is where I create, organize and often daydream.
My view while sitting or standing at my craft table. That's Zoe's rocking chair, which she's sitting in now watching Blue's Clues.

My basket of scraps and a few treasures I've recently found from my mom's china cabinet, the 2-tier crystal tray and divided crystal tray were among some of the few things I've had boxed up since she gave them to me. They make me happy seeing them sitting there.
