Here's another based on a Pencil Lines sketch to help celebrate their 4th birthday and my need to play with the new Studio Calico On the Easel kit!
I've been wanting to try my hand at hand-stitching. The sketch called for a circle so that was my queue to get out the compass, needle and bazzill floss. I'm not fond of the added gems and circle border I threw on there... maybe it's not too noticeable?
I also struggle with that pre-printed Sassafras paper but feel like I waste it if I just use the plain B side. This one seemed to go along with the sketch, so I just used it and added to it.
I realize the pictures of the koala's really stink - but it's all I have. I could have journalled about how disappointed I was that they were behind glass and that they didn't account for the horrible glare and that they moved us through the line so quickly, we couldn't get a good picture... but I'd rather just remember that I got to see them and support the zoo in a small way. I miss the St. Louis Zoo.... the Phoenix Zoo just isn't all that and it's expensive to boot. Everytime I go there, I'm a little more disappointed and homesick.

Love the handstiched circle and such a creative layout! I miss scraptalking with ya. It's been forever hasn't it? The cooking thing is taking up all my free time right now - and something else even bigger. An update soon... :)
I think you did a great job.
