Some Organizing Yesterday

In order to be inspired to finish the below layout, I went through a little reorganizing and cleaning of my area.

This is my overflowing embellishment drawers. When I first started this about a year ago, I didn't have everything in these drawers and they seemed a little empty. Now that I've added little containers of brads, felt flowers, and now chipboard, they are overflowing.

I love this system and want to expand on it a little. I need bigger drawers - see through drawers. I'd like to add my flower stash and buttons and possibly paint.

When I pull out a drawer to add the special bling to my page, I am inspired to play with the pieces in the drawer. Before, I'd forget what I had and spend too much time looking for just the right piece. Now, I know that the majority of my embellishments are all in this drawer. I'm driven by color so this makes sense to me.



These are my scrap drawers, big enough to hold 12x12. I added my sheets of chipboard letters to them. I figured if I didn't have what I needed for the title, I'd be able to make my title with the scraps. I'm not sure I like this idea yet. I'm trying to consolidate my chipboard letters and my colored sticker letters, I need to figure out a better system for this. I do not want 3 separate plastic drawer systems for letters, scraps and embellishments. In fact, I'd really like to move away from plastic drawers... I just don't know what to use. Work in progress, I suppose.





I'm also trying to figure out a plan to move my scrap space to the already too crowded loft where both of our computers reside. The benefits would be that I'd be close to my computer, printer, pictures, albums, and of course, Dave and Zoe. If I do that, I need to seriously go through a purge and definitely have to figure out something different from the plastic drawers.
