Photo Organizing - My Rolling 1 Year

Pictures are from 2008, I have a little photo organizer in which I've got printed pictures that I'd like to scrapbook from 2008, separated by month. I am still wanting to "catch up" on events and photos chronologically and this is the best way I know how. I've got all of Zoe's pictures printed from the kodak gallery and I keep them all in 3 up photo albums. Several months ago, I realized I was printing off a lot of photos from last year to work on the "catch up from months past" - I don't know why, but I have a hard time pulling out my pictures from those albums - I want to keep them in tact. So I print off another copy of the picture to scrap. Well I had enough of that and went through all of 2008 and printed off about 100 pictures that I thought I'd like to put in scrapbook pages. I seperated them out by month in this little photo organizer I got on clearance at JoAnn's a few years ago.

I used rubons to add the months to each tab. I've got extra tabs for Halloween and Fall (which holds all the pics from the pumpkin patch - not sure what I'm going to do with those just yet). I've got a 2nd photo organizer that holds special events. Like pictures from Uncle Robbie's week here - that'll be at least a 2 page layout, maybe a mini album?

Just my little way of keeping my thoughts and pictures organized and help keep me busy and always "catching up". I've consistently been 1 year behind in getting the photos into scrapbook pages. I think, though, since I have also been creating "in the now" that I'll soon get to that catch up point. At any rate - this keeps the pictures and pages flowing for me.

I don't just do all of January, then February - I skim through until I'm inspired to do a page. I had just gotten some green/pink product a few weeks ago and when I saw these pictures in the March tab - I knew they'd look great with the papers and embellies (another Joann clearance - KI Memories LaDiDah collection). I find that I keep skipping over some of the same pictures, they may end up going in the category drawer soon just to make way for the current year. Perhaps I'll just keep this little organizer as a rolling year behind. Now that January and February are over - perhaps it's time to move 2008 into the category drawers and fill those tabs with the pics from 2009 that I haven't yet scrapped but would like to.
